The Ohdo blepharophimosis syndrome: a third case.
نویسنده
چکیده
A patient with a syndrome consisting of blepharophimosis, simple ears, hypoplastic teeth, developmental delay, and hypotonia is described. Previous case reports are reviewed and a differential diagnosis is described. Many of the features in the subject are similar to those described in two previous reports and they constitute a distinct syndrome.

Mental retardation associated with congenital heart disease, blepharophimosis, blepharoptosis, and hypoplastic teeth.
We report two sisters with mental retardation, congenital heart disease, blepharophimosis, blepharoptosis, and hypoplastic teeth. A female paternal cousin has the same anomalies, but without congenital heart disease. The chromosomes of these patients are normal and the parents are non-consanguineous.

Young and Simpson in 1987 and Fryns and Moerman in 1988 each reported a case of a new unknown syndrome with hypothyroidism, severe global retardation, and abnormal facies, including microcephaly, blepharophimosis, bulbous nose, thin upper lip, low set ears, and micrognathia. A male infant with a similar pattern of malformations and postaxial polydactyly is reported here.

متن کاملDe Novo 3q22.3q24 Microdeletion in a Patient With Blepharophimosis–Ptosis–Epicanthus Inversus Syndrome, Dandy-Walker Malformation, and Wisconsin Syndrome
Interstitial deletions affecting the long arm of chromosome 3 have been associated with a broad phenotype. This has included the features of blepharophimosis-ptosis-epicanthus inversus syndrome, Dandy-Walker malformation, and the rare Wisconsin syndrome. The authors report a young female patient presenting with features consistent with all 3 of these syndromes. This has occurred in the context ...
متن کاملCytogenetic findings indicate heterogeneity in patients with blepharophimosis, epicanthus inversus, and developmental delay.
Three unrelated, mentally retarded boys with typical blepharophimosis-ptosis-epicanthus inversus syndrome (BPES) were found to have chromosomal aberrations. One of them had a del(3)(p25), another patient had a de novo translocation t(2; 3), which after high resolution banding combined with chromosome painting was interpreted to be unbalanced with a loss of band q23. The third patient had a del(...
